The Devils Advocate?
Cats: Uncategorized|“Obamacare” finally got rammed down the throats of the people of the united states like a piece of spoiled,rotten meat. I was watching how the democrats held secret,clandestine meetings, not allowing anyone,especially, the republicans to know what was taking place. What was taking place was the pay off, the buying of those senators that were holding out. It was pure bribery, buying votes, making back room promises that would give special perks to, Nelson, Lieberman, Landrieu, Levin, Dodd and a few other senators. They believe that bribery is the way to get bills passed. Those democrats that were holding out finally caved to the “pressure” and sold their souls and integrity to Harry Reid, the devil incarnate.
This whole fiasco reminds me of the movie, “Devils Advocate”. staring Keneau Reeves and Al Pacino. The young idealistic attorney played by Keneau Reeves has his world shaken with promises of great success and adulation by an attorney played by Al Pacino. Al Pacino, the head of a powerful New York law firm, promises Keneau Reeves fame and great fortune, but at a huge cost Keneau finds out. It will cost him his soul. Keneau tempted as he was, finally decides to turn his back on the impressive gifts that were offered for the price of his soul.
I sat there watching the news and the above movie just came to mind. Just swap out Al Pacino for Harry Reid and Charlize Theron as Nancy Pelosi and you have the cast. Charlize was finally seduced by Al Pacino in the movie and lost her soul to the “devil” The difference between the movie the senate is that none of the democrats denounced the ” devil” and all sold their souls.We are witnessing men and women selling their souls. They barker deals, make promises in the dark of night, promising to sell their values and integrity to Harry Reid. Some of these carrots dangled might even be illegal, but they did not care, they just wanted the money. It is all about the money, nothing else. They don’t care what the majority of the people in the country want. It is all about what the democrats want for themselves, more power. Unlike a movie when it is over, you can return the safety of a known reality, this movie seems to keep going on, the nightmare in perpetuity.
