I just heard that Tony Snow passed away. I was, like, oh my god! I really liked Tony Snow, honest, witty, and articulate, even though I have never met him, I feel he was just as genuine on the air as he was in person. You will be sorely missed…..You touched a lot of people in your brief 53yrs. They are better people for meeting you.
The gal has just come out in favor of the fairness doctrine. The democrats have been pushing a fairness doctrine in talk radio. They want to eliminate/neutralize the huge success that conservative talk radio has attained.
They feel the only way they can compete with them is silence them. They want equal time scheduled for opposing ideas over the airways. That means that any time a conservative point is taken there will have to be a rebuttal proffered up from the liberal side. Over the years it has become very apparent that liberal talk radio can’t make it over the airways. Take a fast look at Air America, went belly up and bankrupt, in fact, some of it’s constituents were diverting illegally funds to pay it’s workers. Air America is a huge flop. It speaks to the ability of liberal talk radio to gain listeners and hold them.
Conservative talk radio has spawned listeners and has blossomed into a huge business, notably, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Neal Boortz are some of the big voices in syndicated talk radio. Liberal talk radio can not compete with conservatives in this genre. They want to silence it, it has a huge following of devoted listeners and brings in millions of dollars in revenue every year. It is a forum for talk raido listeners aka “ditto heads” by Rush, the pre-eminent host of talk radio.
If the democrats can, they will try and pass the fairness doctrine whereby, silencing the airwaves of conservative talk radio. They can’t compete with it so they want it stifled. The democrats want to silence any one that disagrees with their ideas.
I want to say this as simply as possible and understandable to everyone…..DRILL HERE, NOW and Save.
President Bush’s speech was right on. Those democrats and republicans that do not see the need to be drilling need to be voted out of office. They are elected officials, they work for us, and are paid by us. Simply put, if they can’t do right by the American people vote their bloody asses out and someone in that will do the job.
It is not about the benevolent Saudis or anyone else when they talk about increasing oil production. They know if we start drilling and finding oil here, it will cut down on the demand we have for their product. There is NOTHING that can fix this mess over night, it won’t happen no way no how. Both parties are responsible for us getting into this mess, it won’t be fixed over night,we did not get here over night. Raising taxes on the oil companies will not help, it will hurt in the long run. There is no QUICK fix for this……… I don’t care what the Prophet Obama has to say, he can not fix this overnight, thinking he can is just delusional thinking……there is a lot of that going on lately in Washington,DC.
It has come to a point where congress needs to get off their collective A**es and do what is right, end this insane idea that we can not drill off shore or somewhere else in the continental United States. They say, well it won’t help for 5yrs or so, well what will the price of gas be in 5yrs at this rate??? And Taxing the oil companies is totally out of touch with reality. The idea that we can become free of oil any time soon is also out of touch with reality.
Taxing the oil companies will only increase the price of oil. The oil companies will pass that on to the consumers. The idea that the democrats come up with is TAX. They think a tax on something will help. Totally out of touch with reality. Liberalism is a true mental disorder that is apparent. The idea that we can just tax oil companies and use wind, solar or ethanol made from corn will help. The price of food is already on the rise to the prices of corn since it is being siphoned off to produce ehanol.
Being proposed is that we have untapped oil reserves in this country that rival the total oil reserves of Saudi Arabia. We need to start drilling now, building nuclear power plants as we speak.
The democrat’s idea that we can fix this with drilling is totally crazy, it makes me nuts that these people can be elected to office. They are elected by the people of this country. They need to be replaced at the next elections. They are not doing anything to help the country, in fact, they are being negligent in responsibilities to their constituents. They are doing NOTHING to help, NOTHING. Nancy Pelosi is one of the richest congressman, he net worth is over 200 million dollars. With a net worth like that you could withstand the gas prices as they are now without any real impact on your life style. She does not really feel the effects of this at all.

Well, it is obvious that the liberal branch of the supreme court had no problem conferring the detainees at GITMO a right to habeas corpus. They now have the rights that the US citizens have in regards to the legal system. This is about as lame at it gets. They have now set in motion the ability for the these terrorists to have access to our legal system and courts. They can tie up the legal system for years with this ruling. How in the hell do these “terrorists” get access to our legal system, the rights we have as citizens are now being given to “terrorists”. This is just over the top, fly by the seat of your pants I would expect from the liberal side of the supreme court.
This is the worst decision that has been handed down by the courts in years. It gives non citizen, terrorists captured on the battlefield the same rights as we as citizens enjoy. Total nonsense, the founding fathers would be rolling in their graves if they knew this happened.

I was surprised when I heard about his death yesterday. He will be truly be missed in the broadcast arena. He walked the talk. He was an inspiration to others and lived a life that was blessed. Though he had democratic roots, he was nonpartisan in his interviews, all the people he interviewed were in for the real deal with him. This man was the real deal………Rest in Peace Mr. Russert.
To be fair, I have to get on McCain for all this global warming nonsense. He too is talking about what we can do for climate change. This is old propaganda and in accurate. There is NO global warming. The leading climatologists agree, this is not occurring.
The item is his jumping on the band wagon to tax profits from the oil companies. This is taking money away from the stockholders of the company and redistributing. The profit margins for oil companies has declined below the cosmetic companies for one, let us tax the cosmetic companies then! Let us tax everyone that makes “too much” money,whatever that is?

As I recall the democrats, lead by Nancy Pelosi, stated that when they came in to power in congress they would get things done, making all kinds of changes……Well, well, time has come and gone with them, the gas prices have jumped though the roof. Nothing good has come from their leadership since they took over the majority. With that being said, now they waste tax payer money on foolish, child like escapades boarding on malfeasance.
I am sick and tired of the democrats wasting time and hard earned tax money on these adventures into the inane. They are still unwilling to drill in ANWR and think the greatest idea is “wind fall profit taxes” on the oil companies. That is really retarded idea, like the companies will pass that on to consumers and two they may just say “screw you” and decide not to drill for oil. The democrats seem to think the answer(s) to a problem is to tax it, regulate it and take control. This was another great bill that “the menace” wanted to pass. The problem is not tax them, we need to be drilling, here and now. Open up the continental shelf and other areas that can lead to new oil reserves.
There has not been an oil spill in over 39yrs from an off shore oil platform. Even when “Katrina” blew though, the oil was not spilled into the Gulf of Mexico. So damaging the environment is a lame excuse. Oil is a renewable resource that is produced in the core of the earth under high heat and pressure. Areas that have been depleted in the past, when returned to, they were found to have oil. The idea it is just the decaying byproducts of eons of dead animal and plant products is nonsense.

The idea of global warming is a futile effort for the environmentalists and liberals to subvert our freedoms and rights. There is NO GLOBAL warming in the sense that man created it. The earth is ever changing and will continue to do so as far as temperatures go. The idea is to take control of our freedoms and bring about the neutering of the United States, to make it more like Europe. In fact, Europeans, want to see the United States “taken down a notch” from where it sits now. The liberals and environmentalists have joined together thinking if, like Himmler stated, you tell a lie long enough it will become the truth. The kids in government schools are being brainwashed with this nonsense. The commercials on TV talk about the green movement.
The idea of global warming was a concoction of Al Gore. It was the use of junk science to back his thesis and prove his points. It was a LIE. The beginning of the Heinrick Himmler, If you repeat a lie long enough it will become truth. This is an effort by the democrats to take freedoms and rights away from us and place them in the hands of a few liberal elitists that know what is good for us all.
So, when are Americans going to wake up and say “enough is enough” to these high gas prices. The environmental moment has seen to it that was have not drilled in ANWR or any other place(s) in the continental United States.
We need to be drilling here, now and do it fast. There have been no refineries built in this country in 30 + years. We have just passed 4.00 a gallon now for gas nation wide. The republicans in 1996 wanted to open up a portion of ANWR for drilling. Bill Clinton vetoed the bill. We would have had millions of barrels of oil flowing at this moment had that taken place. The democrats now still do not want to open up any areas for drilling, nor for building nuclear power plants to decrease the fossil fuel plants that now produce electricity.
The idea that we can maintain the power of this country to be a world leader can not be sustained if we only use wind and solar energy. The idea of biofuels is ridiculous and not will not replace the use of oil products. The idea the democrats have is to……..TAX the rich oil companies. The democrats have already had countless meetings on the hill with the presidents of the oil companies, looking for some illegal activity they are engaging in. The democrats have launched off in diatribes and hubris rhetoric which made them sound totally out of touch and self serving.
We need to drill now. Obama Hussein Barak has not broached the topic of drilling in the ANWR area or the continental shelf. His answer is to TAX the rich oil companies. This is not a sane response to the situation. The democrats only seem interested in taxing people, taking away profits and dispersing them among the “needy”.
We are spending billions of dollars for oil that comes from places like Venezuela, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. They take our money and use it against us. We are giving them billions of dollars to fund their economies and at the same time they ratchet up the anti American rhetoric.
